The plate can be considered as a second alternative to the rune platebody, as completing the Dragon Slayer I quest isn't a requirement to wear the rock-shell plate. Rock-shell gloves are a members-only piece of armour. I've got Torag's platelegs for a tank switch but unfortunately I haven't gotten lucky with black dhide chaps yet so all I have to work with are green. Each of these sets include the armour pieces listed under Set items.
